Majestic Kids

Majestic Kids is a newly formed non-profit with the aim of supporting children and teens in foster care and their families. In Illinois alone, there are close to 18,000 kids in foster care situations. The name Majestic Kids was suggested by a former Royal Family Kids camper who said camp was “like heaven” and “majestic means heavenly!” We will continue to operate a week long camp and yearlong Mentor Club through Royal Family Kids and have committed to continual support of the children once they reach the camp graduate age of 12. This is a crucial age where the need for support, belonging, hope and love cannot be underestimated.

Camp

The founders and board members of Majestic Kids have been operating a Royal Family Kids camp through the local church for the past ten years. At camp, children are paired with a dedicated volunteer counselor. Activities have included swimming, tubing, laser tag, archery, arts and crafts, basketball, ga-ga ball, rock climbing, etc. The highlight of the week is a birthday party celebrating all of the children’s birthdays from throughout the year, complete with cake, presents and a carnival! Many have stated that it is their first birthday party ever. Campers are aged 7-12. Lives have been changed through overwhelming experiences of acceptance and connection through God’s love for each child. Learn more at royalfamilykids.org!

Beyond Camp

Our hope is to stay connected with the kids with whom we started a relationship with at the age of 7 throughout their teen years and beyond. Our hope is to help break the cycle of abuse by showing a way out through love and compassion. Our hope is to provide support so that a full, joyous life is possible for those who need it most. Mentor Club, teen retreats, the investment of time and scholarship opportunities will help make that possible. Hope starts at Majestic Kids.
